Twenty years later and I'm happy to report I didn't take their advice, instead I made it my mission to prove them wrong and find a like-minded organisation who embraced my nonconformist beliefs and rewarded hard work. My goal, to become a Creative Director of a major advertising agency before turning thirty.

In 2009, at twenty nine, I was made Creative Director and Business Partner of Bartle Bogle Hegarty. My time as Creative Director saw me build an award winning creative department, delivering truly media neutral consumer focused communications that not only change peoples approach to brands, but also their actions.

In 2012, I was made Executive Creative Director and Managing Partner.

After eleven years at Bartle Bogle Hegarty, I left to follow a new adventure as Executive Creative Director of Havas helia in the new Kings Cross building, comprising of 37 agencies and 3,000 people.

After spending an intense year at Havas helia, I realised I wanted to broaden the type of work I was working on and so entered the world of B2B. I relish a challenge and migrating to B2B has certainly been challenging, however, hugely fulfilling.

I’ve now been in the world of B2B for the past 18 months and i’m loving it.
